How To Use

Contact Bond Method:

  1. Clean dirt and grease from surfaces to be joined. Remove plastic nozzle and pierce the mouth of kwik grip tube with sharp object.
  2. Apply to both surfaces and spread evenly.
  3. Apply light pressure for several seconds.
  4. For later use, wipe nozzle clean and replace cap immediately after use.

Limitations:

  • Do not apply below 10°C.
  • Will not bond to Polypropylene or Polyethylene.
  • *Some plastics such as vinyl sheeting and polystyrene are attacked by Kwik Grip. Test in an inconspicuous area prior to application. Seek advice of vinyl flooring manufacturers prior to use with their products as discoloration and bubbling can occur with some types.
  • Not suitable for bonding rough, ill-fitting surfaces. (Consider the suitability of alternative products such as Liquid Nails for these applications.)

Handy Tips

  • Use in a well ventilated area.
  • Ensure surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry and free from grease and dirt.
  • Strength is dependent on surface area being bonded – the larger the area, the higher the strength.
  • Extremely porous surfaces may require two coats of Kwik Grip on to the porous surface.
  • On non-porous surfaces, ensure Kwik Grip is touch dry to prevent bubbling.

Clean Up

  • Clean up with mineral turpentine while wet.
  • Once dried adhesive is difficult to remove, soaking in lacquer thinners or toluene may help to soften slightly.
