Selleys Silicone Sealant acetic cure Silicone sealant formulated for general purpose sealing applications. It has excellent adhesion on glass surfaces.

How To Use

  1. Ensure surfaces are clean (can be applied on wet or damp surface, its ideal if the surface is dry).
  2. Apply a layer of masking tape along the perimeter line where Selleys all clear is to be applier.
  3. Pierce tube with reversed side of Cap.
  4. Attach the supplied nozzle on the pierced tube and cut the tip of nozzle at 45 degree angle.
  5. Apply on needed surface and, smoothen with a scraper or spatula.
  6. Once applied, peel of the masking taped along the perimeters for a clean finishing & leave the sealant to dry for at least 6-8 hours.


Limitations:

  • Cannot be painted over.
  • Not recommended for below waterline applications, except for glass aquariums.
  • Will not adhere to zinc or copper containing metals, marble, limestone or lead.

Handy Tips

  • For a cleaner appearance mask both sides of joint prior to sealing. Remove tape before silicone skins.
  • For a better finish complete painting prior to use of sealant as it cannot be painted over.
  • For a smooth finish use a spatula dipped in detergent solution.

Clean Up

  • While the sealant is still wet, clean off excess sealant with a cloth soaked with acetone
  • Once cured sealant is extremely difficult to remove and must be sanded or trimmed with a knife
